Before Gentry was born, I decided instead of doing the typical "newborn" photo shoot, I wanted to do something a little more natural: an at-home shoot with him and our family. And I knew exactly who I wanted to use...
...Mary Thorne Photography! Mary is so good at what she does and is based in Gilbert. Her airy, natural editing style was exactly what I wanted. Working with her was a total joy. Gavin started out fine but then quickly decided he was NOT in the mood for photos and had somewhat of a meltdown in the middle of the shoot. But, with Mary's patient and happy demeanor, (and excellent photography skills), she was still able to capture some really amazing shots of our new family of four. When I think back on the shoot, I remember that even though Gavin was in a bad mood, she still made things fun for him and made all of us feel totally comfortable and relaxed. Now that's talent! If you're in Gilbert and considering having photos taken, I highly recommend Mary!
I want to share some of my favorites from our shoot because I love them so much and I want to be able to come back here and see them any time I want to remember exactly what our family and home looked and felt like right after the New Year in 2018. Right before so many other big changes were right ahead of us. Gentry is only 9 days old in these photos and we are in the Master Bedroom at our Gilbert house (that I love so much!). So many precious memories created in this house... Looking forward to the new ones in a new town that are just around the corner.
Enjoy!
